Splendido dipinto italiano del XVII secolo. Opera ad olio su tela raffigurante un Ecce Homo di grande forza e drammaticità. Ecce Homo è la frase che Ponzio Pilato, governatore romano della Giudea, pronunciò mostrando al popolo Gesù flagellato. Come per dire "ecco l'uomo, vedete che l'ho punito?", ma sappiamo che ciò non fu sufficiente e venne crocifisso. Troviamo infatti Cristo con i polsi legati e la corona di spine, mentre un centurione romano in armatura apre il mantello di porpora per mostrarlo alla folla. Quadro di grande qualità pittorica, in particolare da sottolineare il magistrale uso della tecnica del chiaroscuro per creare plasticità, volume e scolpire così con la luce la muscolatura possente di Cristo. L'imponente figura di matrice caravaggesca si staglia su uno sfondo neutro donando profondità alla composizione e facendo emergere le figure dall'oscurità. Cornice lignea del XX secolo di bella decorazione, con alcuni segni del tempo (vedi foto). Quadro che ha subito un intervento di restauro con rintelo, sostituzione del telaio e ripresa del colore in alcuni punti, nel complesso in buono stato conservativo. Luce dipinto H 126 x L 102 cm. In fact, we find Christ with his wrists tied and the crown of thorns, while a Roman centurion in armor opens his purple cloak to show it to the crowd. A painting of great pictorial quality, in particular the masterly use of the chiaroscuro technique to create plasticity, volume and thus sculpt Christ's powerful muscles with light should be highlighted. The imposing Caravaggesque figure stands out against a neutral background, giving depth to the composition and making the figures emerge from the darkness. Beautifully decorated 20th century wooden frame, with some signs of aging (see photo). Splendide peinture italienne du 17ème siècle. Oeuvre à l'huile sur toile représentant un Ecce Homo d'une grande force et d'un grand drame. Ecce Homo est la phrase que Ponce Pilate, gouverneur romain de Judée, prononça pour montrer le peuple que Jésus flagellait. Comme pour dire « voici l'homme, voyez-vous que je l'ai puni ? », mais nous savons que cela n'a pas suffi et il a été crucifié. En effet, on retrouve le Christ avec les poignets liés et la couronne d'épines, tandis qu'un centurion romain en armure ouvre son manteau pourpre pour le montrer à la foule. Il convient de souligner une peinture d'une grande qualité picturale, notamment l'utilisation magistrale de la technique du clair-obscur pour créer de la plasticité, du volume et ainsi sculpter avec la lumière les muscles puissants du Christ. L'imposante figure caravagesque se détache sur un fond neutre, donnant de la profondeur à la composition et faisant émerger les personnages de l'obscurité. Cadre en bois du 20ème siècle joliment décoré, avec quelques signes de vieillissement (voir photo). Tableau ayant fait l'objet d'une restauration avec rentoilage, remplacement du cadre et restauration de la couleur à certains endroits, globalement en bon état de conservation.
