Vintage internal 1987 Disneyland "Concept Statement" concerning the history of Videopolis and future plans for the "new Videopolis 1988." Did you know that in the original planning stages, Videopolis was originally going to be called "Galaxy?" This document contains facts like that.

Videopolis, a teen dance club in Fantasyland adjacent to It's A Small World (and now known as the Fantasyland Theater), oped on June 22, 1985 and closed on November 26, 1989. It appeared to be an attempt to compete with Knott's Berry Farms Studio K dance club, and to increase the evening park attendance of the teenage demographic.

This fascinating 2.5 page report traces the history of the teen dance club from the company's perspective, including why they built it, its challenges and successes, and plans for its future.
