A beautiful Andamooka treated Solid Black Matrix Opal
(non acid treatment) N2 in black body tone, that plays gorgeous
reds,blues,some purple & greens in a
fiery striped patterning !
Just stunning ....!!
which is embedded in sandstone.
Any black spots within the stone are minute natural pebbles.
It has been treated in a sugar solution and then heated
until it carbonises to turn the host sandstone rock black
to highlight the colours of the precious opal within the stone.
This treatment in no way effects the opal !
