This is a beautiful sterling silver shell, mother of pearl, jade and cultured freshwater pearl necklace and earrings. The necklace is about 18" long.The earrings are for pierced ears and are approximately from the top of the hooks 2 9/16" x 15/16". 

MOTHER OF PEARL

Mother of pearl is produced by molluscs, mussels, oysters and abalone by producing a secretion called nacre which lines its inner shell. It is iridescent and strong. It is used in ornaments and jewelry.

CARE
Avoid harsh chemicals , perfumes and certain soaps which can damage the mother of pearl. Remove when doing housework and cooking. Clean with a soft or jewelry cloth. Store separately from other jewelry in a soft cotton bag out of direct sunlight.
