This is not an In4mation, Farmers Market, or 808 All Day hat.

Released back in September of 2014 and purchased directly from the Fitted Hawaii brick and mortar store on the first day of its release.

I believe this design was part of the Hala ‘Ula collection with the highly detailed embroidery Aloha prominently displayed on the front.

The explanation below is a partial description of the original drop that Fitted provided online on September 18, 2014. This hat was released 2 days later on September 20, 2014.

“HALA ʻULA ALOHA SNAPBACKS

Aloha kākou!

It’s been a few years since we’ve used woven material on our hats, and after dropping several hints online we’re pleased to announce its return this Saturday.

Hala, which woven lauhala (lau means leaf in Hawaiian) is derived from, comes in several varieties based on fruit color.

They were valuable to the ancient Hawaiians for their wide range of uses, aside from the woven lauhala that’s commonly used. Two of the hala varieties—hala ʻula and hala pia—provided the basis of this Saturday’s release.

The hala ʻula variety bears reddish fruit and was very prized among the different hala types.

The people of Kohala, Big Island also have a special moʻolelo on the term hala ʻula as it pertains to King Kamehameha.

Their secondary translation for hala ʻula is "a grievous fault that might spill our blood” from the alternate meaning of hala (what we say when someone does something bad) and the word ʻula (red).

The Kohala people entered a conspiracy to save Kamehameha from harm, and if Alapainui (king of Big Island at the time) ever found out, he would’ve surely killed them.

So the term hala ʻula became a reminder to the Kohala people of the risks they took to help Kamehameha. The reddish color of the hala ʻula fruit is what inspired the red denim visor on our new Hala ʻUla Aloha, with a nod to the Kohala moʻolelo and the risk of bloodshed they almost encountered.

The entire crown is woven black, with tonal embroidery all around and a black snap enclosure around back. The inside liner and undervisor are printed with a collage of hala plants on satin.

The black Hala ʻUla Aloha snapback will be available exclusively at our brick and mortar location, 1438 Kona St., this Saturday at 11 a.m. (HST).

Phone orders will accepted after the line has been taken care of. The hat will not be available online.”

This cap is extremely rare and nearly impossible to find brand new.

The hat is primarily black in color including the top button. The visor has a red top and a green tree print on the bottom.

The Aloha embroidery can be clearly seen dominantly on the front.

The New Era and Fitted Crown Logos are embroidered in black (one on each side of the hat) and the back features the Fitted crest embroidered in black as well.

The black adjustable strap in back has 7 holes on the strap to be utilized for proper adjustment and alignment.

The interior portion of the hat features hala plants placed cleanly on the satin liner.

As stated, this Item is BRAND NEW.

It has never been tried on, worn, or displayed.

Once purchased new it was placed away in a storage closet in a climate controlled residence in a pet free home.

The hat pictured is the exact one that you will be receiving.

The other Fitted hats located in the background are obviously NOT INCLUDED but many of them will be placed up for sale in the future.

I am selling off my entire Fitted collection, 98% of which are all brand new and most are extremely rare.

All proceeds received after eBay and shipping fees will be utilized to assist to care for a friend that is battling a medical health issue.

The item is “for sale” but not on sale. Please do not message me with low ball offers or non serious requests.

Your item will be professionally packed in a brand new shipping box. All empty space will be filled with air bubble bags and / or styrofoam packing peanuts. A silicone gel packet will be included to absorb any light moisture while your hat is in transit. The box will be taped securely and stamped with “RUSH” and “FRAGILE” on the exterior.

All items are shipped individually. There is no combined shipping if multiple auctions are won. I need to move the products quickly in order to get the funds out to my family member in need.

Shipping options are through USPS Ground Advantage or USPS Priority Mail. You can choose which method you’d like to utilize to get your item to you sooner. Both options include tracking and delivery confirmation numbers.

International shipping is possible through eBay’s Global Shipping Program.

Shipping Insurance is optional and can be added for an extra charge.

Please note, I cannot and will not be responsible for any damages, delays, or missing packages once the item has been shipped. I will help you work closely with a USPS claim if and as needed, but without insurance, USPS will be held liable once the item has been dropped off at the Post Office.
