The Second World War (6 Vols), Winston S. Churchill, Cassell & Co Ltd, First Edition First Impressions

Written by the winner of the 1953 Nobel Prize for Literature this is one of Churchill's greatest works covering the period from the end of the First World War to July 1945. All six volumes are First Editions, First Impressions in very good condition.

The bindings are tight and straight, the boards clean without marks or dents and the endpapers and pages clean without marks, tears or inscriptions. Minimal foxing to page edges and top edge red tint partially retained across all volumes. Errata slip present to volume 1 and all maps and illustrations present throughout.

The dust jackets are all present with good colouring and titling to the front covers. All have minor losses to some corners and / or tops and bottoms of the spine. Volume 4 has a tear to the spine and volume 6 to the front cover. All have been protected in clear removable jackets

Very consistent condition across the six volumes strongly suggesting an original set and seemingly hardly read. A very good value and aesthetically pleasing set.
