Estate sale purchase-"Dragon--K Tandia Shoten" .1st let me say I have never seen a 5 section bamboo rod Sect 1- The base section with handle. Sec 2 The middle section, fits on base section, then attach 3rd section a tip section 4th A second selection for tip section. ( NORMAL UP TO NOW) This is where things change It has a 5th section that apparently fits to the base section ( so the middle section is not needed)
This 5th section has different eyes on it, instead of the wire type eyes on fly rods, it has a more substantial eye & tip attached.
Of course by attaching only these 2 sections makes the rod much shorter. The base section has no eyes on it, but looks like maybe at one time there were 2 (?) That would make sense if it were being used as a casting or spinning rod. All comes in what appears to be original wooden box. I will package so the rod sections are secure. Box is about 34" long, as the rod sections are 33" long.
