DSLR's have horrible audio because they have bad pre-amps.  Get this:    Great PREAMP for GH4 or other DSLR or HDV camera where you can use a mic that needs Phantom power 48V, or you need a real pre-amp to create better sound.   

It has two XLR inputs, and a stereo mini cable to stereo mini output cable included to go into the camera (6-10inches). 

Takes 9Volt battery.   Lightly used on 4 shoots.
