This bag belonged to my mother for whom it was possibly made (she was not great at needlework!). The hand embroidered flowers  are on both sides and stitched onto black felt; the inside being lined with umber silk.. The gilt clasp runs along the top and features Dutch scenes and suspended by a gilt large linked chain that extends to 6"above the clasp..
