A superb painting of a lady in high Victorian attire, most probably Italian in origins. 

Age- c1860

Size- 20.75  by 17.75 inches approx including frame, panel 16 by 12.5 inches approx. 

Medium- Oil on wooden panel.

Frame- Later wooden frame, some knocks, offered free with the painting.
   

Condition- We would be very happy to hang this one as found. There are however some small old repairs and a larger on to the left hand side of the head to the background. Some flecks of missing paint and a few scratches. Craqueleur in places, small piece of missing panel lower left hand corner.

Signature- Unsigned.
