Beautiful twinned cubic crystals (purple) partially coated by micro, colourless quartz crystals on matrix.  Due to its age, quite a few of the crystals gave damaged corners but are still beautiful under a low-power microscope.

The precise locality in Mexico is unknown, but almost certainly from Durango.

Purchased in the early 1980s.

Specimen measures approx 4cm across.
