This vintage Bundy trumpet by Selmer Co, designed by Vincent Bach, is a great horn for any beginner or for an outdoor/second/back up horn.

My educated guess is that this horn is from the mid to later 1970’s. I just sold my beginner bundy which I bought new in 1974. This horn’s model number is about 10,000 more. The sites with model numbers were not too clear.

This horn has great valves, great compression (all the slides pop) and everything is movable. There was some external rust when I got it but that all is now gone. Lacquer is missing in many places. There was a pronounced twist in the bell but it is now not that noticeable. There is a noticeable dent on the bell turn around and dents here and there but I can play freely all over the normal trumpet range with it.

It will be fine for many years for a beginner. Certainly for elementary school and into middle school. When they get serious they can get an intermediate or pro horn and use this Bundy for marching. That’s what I did and many do.

A stone lined straight mute, a marching lyre and the original case are all included. Also a Bach 7c mouthpiece which is the standard beginner mouthpiece.
