This handmade adorable faux apple pie looks good enough to eat! Perfect addition to your tiered tray or other displays. Apple pie knows no season so you can decorate with it year round. It is made using a small pie tin filled with fabric pieces painted an apple color and glued inside. The "crust" is made using hand torn, coffee dyed fabric strips layered like lattice crust. The strips are glued into place and dusted with cinnamon. Then spray glue is used to apply fake sugar with sparkling glitter.
The finishing touch is a hand stamped fabric strip with the word apple. It is attached with a small piece of home spun fabric using a bulb style safety pin. Last, it is adorned with real cinnamon sticks and a piece of star anise.
