This RED PAINT MORTAR and PESTLE C 1850 measures approximately 6” diam top, 8” high. Pestle: 10”.

Purchased at a local estate sale in Bangor, Maine.

This early mortar retains an old red painted surface.

The pestle has no paint. Has an age cracks as shown. Very solid piece of wood.

Nice opportunity to buy an original pair with great surface and wear.
