At that time, cheap pot metal (white metal) made of metal wastes did not exist at all. North America was using with pride, only pure grade metals to cast and to machine parts. Foreign countries are now using our planet wastes to produce almost everything, even knowing some parts are made with toxic contaminants such as lead and mercury, to name a few..
