Antique Mellophone 50314 French Horn w/ Mother of Pearl Buttons No Case

An antique mellophone missing any discriminate markings. The one marking I did find on it is a number on the inside which reads "50314." It does come with a mouthpiece. The mouthpiece is marked with the brand it is "All Star Mellophone." It does require a good amount of TLC. It features three mother-of-pearl topped buttons. It's hard to tell what metal the horn is made of with some spots being more of a brassy tone and others more of a gold tone. This horn would be wonderful for décor or as a passion project!

Condition notes:
The mother-of-pearl buttons are in great shape. The metal on the mellophone needs a lot of TLC. It has an extreme level of tarnish and black spots all over. There are a few white/green spots on the inside of the horn when looking down into the sound hole. The valve still opens and closes smoothly. Some areas are shiny, but most are dull. There is one dent with brownish coloring as shown and circled in the photos. Please carefully review the photos, as they are an extension of this description.

Approximate dimensions: 21" x 10" x 16"
