About Jolliffes

The original Jolliffes tailors in Slough began in the 1940’s where Ernest Jolliffe concentrated on fine tailoring for the discerning gentleman, hand sewing suits and garments to the highest quality. At this time the only hirewear company was Moss Bros. Mr Jolliffe saw a market for instant hire and began our trade over 70 years ago.

On Ernests retirement and the closing of the Slough High Street shop Mr Geoffrey Jolliffe, his son, started a small shop in Bourne End and continued the tailoring and hire service. With a thriving business, an opportunity to purchase a freehold in Marlow in the early 70’s arose and the Jolliffes empire began.
