RARE Original Mario Lemieux Place Street Sign Pittsburgh - This comes from the estate of a collector of sports memorabilia.  Sign measures 42" x 7" ( bracket adds another 1").

A curved street behind the Civic Arena, roughly in the location of the old Logan Street, was named Auditorium Place in 1961.[1] It was renamed Mario Lemieux Place in 1997 in honor of Mario Lemieux (1965–), the star player of the Pittsburgh Penguins, who played at the Civic Arena.[2] The street was owned by the Sports and Exhibition Authority.[3]

Mario Lemieux Place disappeared with the demolition of the Civic Arena in 2011–2012.
