This sweet novelty penny bank/Money Box dates to the middle years of the 1800's and is constructed of soldered sheet s of pewter with applied tiny brass knobs.  Measuring just 3 7/8" tall x 4 1/8" wide x 2 7/8" deep, it has a wide slot for large pennies on the side, with working lock that retains its key.  There is an old solder repair re-attaching one of the knobs; otherwise I see no untoward dents, bends or losses.
