Here we have the rarest of all the Meccano Cars from the 1930's.

Rather confusingly it is known as the "Meccano Car Model No 2"

But this is the "Meccano Saloon Coupe No 2"

Dates from the 1930's. 

It's basically a Number 1 Constructor Car but it comes ready built as a coupe in this very rare, smaller shoe-type box.

This is only the second one of these I have seen.

The car is in the best colour combination of Black and Red.

It is in very good,original condition.

Minor wear with some minor scuffs and scratches,but with a very nice patina to it.

One of the wheels has been replaced with what looks like an original,repainted wheel,and an original red hub-cap. (this should be easy to sort out!).

The clockwork motor works fine.

As stated before,it comes in it's original and very rare box.

The box is in good,original condition. Slightly worn and torn (see photos).

Overall,a very nice and very rare item in very nice,original condition.
