Vintage 1973 Euripides’ “Medea” at Circle in the Square Theatre Broadway Playbill! Irene Papas!

Up for sale is a Vintage “Medea” Playbill Magazine! This classic Euripides drama opened on January 17, 1973 at the Circle in the Square Theatre in New York City! The play had a two month limited engagement on Broadway, and this rare vintage Playbill is from a January 1973 performance during its Opening Month! This Broadway revival starred its Original Cast of Irene Papas, John P. Ryan, Al Freeman, Jr., Tally Brown, Eric Faber, Albert Stratton, and several others. It also includes the hard-to-find article “Homosexuality - A Gay Activist Looks at Broadway” by Arthur Bell. As shown in the photos, this vintage Playbill is in very good condition for its age with some cover wear and light soiling. The Playbill is complete and remains securely stapled from its cover to its centerfold. It has generally clean pages with no writing, creases, rips, or tears. This vintage Broadway Playbill magazine would make a great addition to your collection!

Take a look at the photos to best judge its condition. Feel free to email with any questions you have about the Playbill, pictures or shipping before bidding. Please pay within 3 days of purchase, and I'll ship the Playbill ASAP, usually within 2 days of payment received.

Almost all items are vintage: they were purchased at estate sales/auctions, yard/garage sales or flea markets, and are sold “as found”; the history of previous ownership and storage conditions of the items is unknown, and I have no idea if a previous owner smoked or had pets. I do not accept returned items simply because you’ve changed your mind. Shipping & Handling charges are not refundable. Attention International Customers: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s Customs Office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. I do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “gifts” since US and international government regulations prohibit such behavior.
