1985 Ruth Unproduced Screenplay UK Story Of Ruth Morton Schatzman John Vincent

This is a unproduced screenplay for a project entitled “Ruth” written by John Patrick Vincent. This is an adaptation of a true story novel written by Dr. Morton Schatzman about a woman who is assaulted by her father and then haunted by his ghost. This script is dated 1985 which is interesting because the book was already adapted to screen in 1982 by John Purdie (Dir) and Peter Ransley (writer) in a film listed on IMDB as “The Story Of Ruth”. It is possible the 1982 film was a TV special and Vincent was attempting to take the story to the big screen. Great piece of horror / thriller / paranormal film history.
