Here is a group Lionel Pre & Postwar original replacement bulbs.

This group of bulbs were probably offered 1935-55.

This group of 14 boxes -- one of the #40s is empty, and the #12 has the case but no bulb.

The balance all have their bulb and the two larger flat boxes

each have a full complement of 10 bulbs each.

So there are 32 original bulbs in14 boxes.

I do not know if the bulbs work -- but I have no reason to think they will not light.
