This is a beautiful 83 year old Ludwig Tom drum dated October 1941 in white marine pearl. It looks like everything is original, even the top and bottom cow skin drum heads. It is 16” x 14” in size and has very minor pitting on the chrome. It has yellowed some from age. The logo tag is in excellent condition and says Ludwig & Ludwig Chicago, IL. This logo was used in the late 1930’s and early 1940’s. It’s rare to find these drums in this great of condition. The shell looks to be made of a solid piece and not like the ones made today. The date is marked on the inside.

This Tom drum was part of a Ludwig 1930’s and very early 1940’s drum set that was played by a person who was in the Army Air Force during WW2 and was part of a swing band. The canvas carry case has his name stenciled on it . No telling where these drums have been with his travels. I will also be listing the Leedy foot pedal, Bass drum, and Snare drum individually.
