I have here for sale a vintage paperweight which to my eye is very similar to the Victorian examples of the late 1800s and made from cast iron. Marked with the crown and SO as shown. The markings are for HM Stationary Office.

These cast iron antique paperweights are wonderfully marked, decorative and have a fantastic feel in the hand being heavy cast iron and have the patina of years of handling. As you can see this example is in perfect condition and would make for a great display item and still very usable today.

This example measures just under 3.5 inches in diameter and weighs 446 grams.

I have a selection of 4 of these paperweights all slightly different in design and weight so i have listed them separately, this particular paperweight is the only one i feel may be a little later in date as it seems to my eye to not be of the same design as the others i have for sale although probably simply made at a different maker, all the same please study the photos for yourself to be happy, thanks.
