DESCRIPTION:  Outstanding find, this Official Exposition postal card was uprated using the 1c Trans-Mississippi issue and sent to Rostock, Germany. The OMAHA, NEBR September 13, 1898 machine cancel which nicely ties the stamp is quite significant as the Expo (which was held in Omaha, Nebraska from June 1 to November, 1898) was taking place there on that date !! Please Note that there are some pressed out creases to the card. The scene on the reverse is of the Machinery and Electricity exhibit. Note too the dated (September 26, 1898) Rostock, Germany arrival marking on the front to boot !
