‘Pit Pony’

‘Pit Pony’ My abstract artwork celebrating the Pit Ponies who worked the coal mines of Britain during the Industrial Revolution. Painted as a Celtic War Horse surrounded by the sites and sounds of industry. Wheels turning the machines, scaffolding holding up the pit roof, furnace flames, huts, roads in, buildings with a bird of freedom and hope flying above.

Brief biography:

David Harper is a Modernist / Fauvist painter and sculptor

His first public exhibition was in 2014

His works are in private, public and corporate collections around the world, including museums and art investment funds
