I researched these pieces and found they might have been made at Dawson City in the Yukon Territory of Canada. Further research indicated these might have been made at a store called Murdoch’s, which is still open today. This store started business. in the mid 1940’s and offered jewelry made from Yukon gold. I was able to contact the current manager of the store and sent him photos. He confirmed that back in the day, as he put it, Murdoch’s did indeed offer pieces like these and he confirmed the mountings were walrus tusk. So I feel these probably were made at the Murdoch store in Dawson City sometime in the late 1940’s or the 1950’s.

If you are a cufflink collector, if you are a Goldrush fan, if you just appreciate the history behind Yukon gold you’ll love these great pieces of Yukon glory.
