This is an OEM from the dealership and cost more than the cheap aftermarket filters. I highly recommend you use OEM on these parts as transmissions dont come cheap. Cheap parts cost around 20-50, there is a reason for this. There cheap quality and will not filter correctly, leak or lose a bolt (for the ones that have the internals modified). A loose bolt is the last thing you want inside a transmission.
Car Factory recommended transmission fluid
change: NONE (life-Time Fluids).
ZF Factory’s recommendation: EVERY
50,000 - 75000 MAX miles…
(The
Automobile factories want them to break down fast so you buy another car…)
This
transmission filter is for the 8HP70 ZF
transmission installed on the 2014 Ram and many other years and vehicles
equipped with the ZF transmission. This is an OEM filter I ordered for my ram.
The factory sent me two by accident. I offered to return it but they said they
could no longer accept it since I had opened it so their loss is your gain. This
will fit many other cars with the ZF automatic transmissions. ZF transmissions
are standard equipment for Dodge, Ram, BMW, Mercedes etc. No, it is not just
made for Ram trucks. OEM 6822 5344 AA-00001. These sell for $250 – 285 depending
from shop to shop. I’m starting this OEM at $199. Please do your own
research for correct fitment of your own car.
The BMW 7-Series, BMW
X5 50i, BMW 5-Series , BMW 3-Series, Dodge Durango, Jaguar F-Type, Jeep Grand
Cherokee, Ram 1500, Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, Range Rover Sport,
Rolls-Royce Phantom, Maserati Quattro Porte, Aston Martin Vanquish, Aston
Martin Rapide and Alpina are among the vehicles that use the same
transmission. (Yes–a Rolls and Aston Martin use the ZF transmission from the
Ram.) This is from the MANUFACTURERS website.
Thanks and have a great day.
