This exceptional quality Mexican frame of the 1960's is crafted from single piece (not stacked) reverse profile bolection molding with bold reverse profile and Florentine style metal leaf finish on red ground with burnt umber antique glaze.

Measuring 21 5/8" x 25 3/4" overall with 15 5/8" x 19 1/2" reveal and 16 1/8" x 20 1/8" back rabbet opening, its 3" wide x 2" deep molding make quite a statement on the wall.

The multi-tone glaze with areas of bright metal leaf give the frame extra visual depth and there is just enough wear revealing the red ground to add extra richness.  It is sturdy and usble with expected minor scuffs and dings.
