The original JBL woofer has been discontinued, so we had these custom made by a manufacture right here in the USA. Yes that is right, these are not made overseas. All the specs and parameters were copied to ensure similar sound and exact physical fit. The basket size and screw holes are identical, so you do not have to modify the cabinet at all. We had the surround changed from foam to rubber to improve the longevity. Rubber surrounds will also reduce cone break up and ensure low distortion.
JBL 5" part # is P205G.
These woofers will also fit many JBL, Infinity and other brands.
We also stock this woofer in a 4 ohm. If you would rather have a 4 ohm, just request 4 ohm when ordering.
