This is the sensor the monitors water temperature for the onboard computer (ECU) and temp gauge. Brand new part and is calibrated to factory specifications. The ECU monitors temperature and adjusts the fuel curve, idle and performance to match engine temperature.
If this sensor fails, you will have inaccurate temperature gauge and you can experience poor performance. Hard idling, rough starts, and poor warm engine performance are all symptoms of a failed sensor.
This is a "push-in" or "clip-in" sensor and can be located on the plastic cooling house flange housing or water pump. Includes new o-ring seal and clip. Direct-fit and plugs into your factory wire harness without modification.
