These particular LEDs are surface mount, 5mm x 5mm.  All 6 pins are available, so they can be wired in either common anode or common cathode configuration.  They are therefore a perfect match for nearly any LED driver, including the popular TI TLC594x driver series (TLC5940, TLC5941, etc).

These RGB LEDs are very bright when supplied with ample current.  It is important to note that the absolute maximum current rating of the LEDs is 20mA so do not exceed this rating.  We find that small LEDs such as these are sensitive to over-current conditions so be careful so as to not let out the magic smoke!

These LEDs have water clear lenses, but since the light sources are small the colours mix well when viewed from a relatively short distance.  They also have a very wide viewing angle of 120 degrees.
