Garmin has some of the nicest GPS units in the business, and probably the worst mounts.

Here is the answer and the best alternative for Garmin 795, 796, and the Aera 500, 510, 550 and 560 series units.

CAUTION: These units come in two mounting configurations from Garmin: this mount is for those with the Garmin factory supplied "Aviation Mount with Power Cable and Audio Jack". Does NOT work with those units that use the snap-in Garmin 17mm "G-Ball" mount. If that's what you have, please put our item # 152101524133 in the Ebay search box and the other one will come up.

Consists of a double socket arm, 3.25" suction cup twist lock base and round base adapter that will attach directly to Garmin factory supplied "Aviation Mount with Power Cable and Audio Jack" (see 3rd photo).

The GPS can be oriented in either portrait or landscape mode.

We've used these mounts in our traffic watch aircraft for years and they're virtually bulletproof. They come with a lifetime limited factory warranty.
