Close your ribbon necklace using easy-to-use 3 mm sterling silver crimp cord end hook and eye clasps, available in my eBay shop. The ends of the ribbon can be rolled thin to fit into the barrel of the clasp. The barrel of the clasp then needs to be squeezed very tightly closed, with a pair of pliers. A little drop of glue may optionally be used. I suggest using G-S Hypo Cement as it has a very fine applicator:
