Originally published in the early 1960s, this book is the second in a series of four that will show you how to make both the playful and glamorous hats of the 1960s. Twelve hats are included: 

• envelope toque -- worn as a high rise toque, snood, beret or turn about
• stitched beret -- stitched cotton with streamers that can be twisted stylishly around the neck, tied into a bow, left to hang, or removed for a different look
• see thru summer snood -- transparent silk net combined with tiny velvet bows, knots, flower sprays or any other trim of your choice
• soft look snood beret -- a long snood beret with detailed back interest
• cocktail charmer -- made with nylon lace and easily gathered with thread thru the middle, attach trims of your choice, made in less than an hour
• back-swept turban -- from Paris and designed as a draped turban coverup with back interest
• pillbox scarf hat -- for softer looks, a scarfed pillbox swatched in chiffon
• occasion-and-holiday hat -- an alluring cocktail cap made with a pouff of small ostrich feathers
• feather phantasy -- one of the simplest hats to produce with the addition of ostrich feather pads or other plumage
• evening cover-up -- a scarf hood of white silk organza (or other appropriate fabric), perfect for day or evening wear
• high-crown cloche -- shiny smooth braid for the pleated crown with a velvet bow in back
• scarf turban -- the go-anyplace packable hat, very easy to make

Text instructions and illustrations detail measurements, folds, sewing guides (for hats that are sewn), and trim placement. Fabric suggestions, yardage, trim quantity -- everything is clearly written for these easy-to-make hats.
