Item: Rare Antique Edwardian English Sterling Silver Shipped Finial Spoon Wakely & Wheeler.  Wonderful opportunity to obtain an Edwardian English Sterling Silver Spoon made by renowned silversmith makers of the time Wakely & wheeler.  The spoon is quite breathtaking in its finishing.  To the finial we see a Tudor Period ship with sail below, sailing upon waves.  Below this is three crowns which is the crest for Hull and below this wording Hull within a scroll.  The stem is part column/part barley twist finish, also with wonderful detailing to the back of the stem which leads onto the bowl.  Full set of English sterling silver hallmarks to the reverse of the bowl.  The spoon has the benefit of being un-monogrammed and free from personalisation and comes with a highly polished silver finish.  Becoming hard to find Edwardian period spoons with much detailing as this.  For the collector or investor of fine Edwardian silverware, would make a great gift.  Hallmarked for London.

Hallmarks: Makers Mark  W & W Date Letters l, n, o, Lion .925 Sterling Silver Finest, leopard London.  I have five of these spoons all dating between 1906-1909.  Price is per spoon.

Weight: 17gms.

Condition:  light surface marks consistent with age and genuine use, ever so slight bumping to bowl does not detract from its beauty.  Nice period piece.
