3x5 Foot "Big Red" Citadel, South Carolina Flag

This is the flag flown on January 9, 1861 by cadets at The Citadel when they fired the first shots of the Civil War. They were firing at the ship Star of the West bound for Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor.
