ANDREW JACKSON

'Star Wars' Cancellation.

(This cancellation looks somewhat like the 'Death Star' space ship in the 'Star Wars' movies.) Okay I have a wild imagination, but doesn't it look somewhat like that space ship?

EFO:  Partial Imprint capture at lower left corner.

EFO: There are some 'vermillion' lines at the lower left corner of the stamp.  At first I thought they may be from a 'Misperf'd stamp, cutting into another stamp, but that couldn't be.  After some research I found out that the 'vermillion' lines are from the upper right corner of the 'Bank Note Company's' wording in the selvage. The lines are from the top of the 'Bank Note's' wording, which reads 'PRINTED BY THE'.  To have the perforation holes to cut into the printing company's name in the selvage could only occur on about 3 to 4 stamps per sheet 3-4/50.  Considering all of the stamps printed for this issue and taking into account for lost, destroyed & number of misperf's that could have occurred and those stamps that could have this type of misperf, it would make this stamp very Scarce! (See pictures #1, 2 & 3)

Grade: VG

Stamps Printed for this issue: About 440,000,000
