This is a High Quality replacement cable for the Rode NTK and K2 Tube microphone, ONLY. This cable connects the microphone to the Power Supply Unit (PSU) and is wired specifically for the Rode Mics. There is no common approach to the wiring of these leads and all manufacturers use a different scheme, most models are available in our SHOP, however if you cannot find the one you need please do not hesitate to ask.


The Sommer Octave cable used to manufacture these leads is a cable specifically designed for use with Tube and Valve mic’s. Two of the 7 cores are a heavier gauge of copper that supply power to the heater. Here is what SOMMER say......


Our SC-OCTAVE TUBE has been especially developed for the connection of tube microphones. It has a total of 7 wires, two for power input and the remaining ones for parameter-variable directivity, sensing (measuring), heating, and power for the tube capsule. These five wires are made up of 72 superfine individual 0.05 mm wires and guarantee linear transmission and high flexibility. With 100 % opaque shielding (copper spiral + AL-fleece) the SC-OCTAVE TUBE is protected against all kinds of interference. It is ideal for the connection of Neumann, BPM, Schoeps + many more.

Lifetime Warranty

We offer a lifetime warranty on all our manufactured cables. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and not wear and tear due to general use. For a cost we are happy to replace damaged/worn parts for the lifetime, please contact us for pricing.

Return Postage Costs

If your cable develops a manufacturing fault within 12 months of the purchase date then we will reimburse return postage costs. After 12 months the costs are paid by the customer.

We accept no responsibility for damage to equipment incurred during operation or use of our products where an item has been improperly used. All of our manufactured products are electrically tested before dispatch. We pressure test for short circuit, continuity and insulation resistance. Due to the nature and complexity of what we do there was no single tester available on the market to accommodate all of our needs so we decided to build all of our own testing equipment! Our testers go way and beyond what is normally offered, ensuring quality of sound and reliability

All AC mains products conform to BS 7671 wiring regulations and are tested by qualified technicians trained to City & Guilds 2377 standards

We take waste and our impact on the environment very seriously. All of our plastic and cardboard waste is separated and collected on a monthly basis. Empty cable reels are returned to suppliers to be re-used and we even go as far as having a compost bin in our kitchen. We try to keep packaging to a minimum and try to re-use packaging materials where possible, so please do not be upset if your order arrives in a second-hand box! Please keep your bubble wrap for Christmas and re-use boxes where you can. If you wish to return unwanted cable and connectors then please do so, we are happy to recycle them on your behalf
