30 Amp Self Switching Split Charge Relay Kit

...With Thermal Protection...

Overview...

Used for charging a second battery from your main vehicle (crank) battery, this self switching split charge relay kit is different from other standard split charge relay kits, in that it monitors the main battery voltage and monitors the second battery voltage and only switches the charge to the secondary battery when required, so no over-charging can take place and also ensures that the main battery and auxiliary batteries are disconnected from each other once the engine is switched off. An added benefit to this relay is the thermal protection that is offers. If any over-heating occurs the relay will disconnect.

By installing this relay, the main engine battery is still charged from the alternator as normal but  the relay installed between the main and auxiliary batteries will govern the charge through to the auxiliary battery.

We supply 2 fuses & 2 fuse holders so that the circuit is protect on both sides of the relay. This is most important from a safety aspect, so make sure you install them with the kit.. The 1st fuse point is a few inches away from the main battery positive and the second fuse point is installed a few inches away from the leisure battery positive. This give you protection on both sides of the relay in the event of short circuit related occurrences.

Suitable for any 12V vehicle, where a second battery needs to be charged
