What is
Traditional indigenous Aboriginal Art ?
Dot painting on canvas emerged in central Australia in the early 1970s as a
result of Aboriginal people working together with a white art school teacher,
Geoffrey Bardon. Traditional indigenous art is going back at least 3
generations of painting the same similar art and story telling. Copyright Law
does not cover painting styles or techniques.
Disclaimer: My art is "aboriginal influenced" and
"inspired" it has no culture associated with as it and has not gone
back through 3 generations of the same style and story telling. My paintings
are my very own modern urban styles and brush stroke design therefore have no
conflict to existing sellers of aboriginal art. Everyone has a right to paint
an expression it may be something you have seen or thought of yourself.
My name and art currently advertised should by no means be associated with
traditional aboriginal art selling as my art is contemporary aboriginal
inspired through my love of indigenous art & culture.
