The Runes
These are beautiful handmade runes. Each set of runes are cut by hand from the same branch of yew, they are then sanded (also by hand) and then pyrographed (burnt) with the rune. If treated with care these runes will last a life-time and beyond. Small yew runes - around 1cm in diameter Medium yew runes - around 1.5-2 cm in diameter Yew runes - around 2.5 cm in diameter Large Yew Runes - around 3-4 cm in diameter Each set of runes come with their own handmade bag to store them in. The set will also come with my own Elder Futhark information sheet - these sheets are available separately in my ebay shop - the only difference is that the sheets that are provided with rune sets will come folded rather than flat. If you desire a flat, unfolded sheet you'll need to buy one separately. These sets of runes are of the elder futhark system and as such include 24 runes. A blank rune is included as a spare, or to use as a wyrd/Odin's rune if you prefer. The Yew The Yew tree, is thought by many to be Yggdrasil, the great World Tree of Norse mythology, the yew tree has existed since before the Ice Age. Associated with everlasting life, rebirth and transformation, it is used magically for seeking visions, travelling between worlds and exploring the mysteries of life and death.

Greenwoman Crafts is a small Pagan craft business run by a practicing witch of many years' experience. I try to source my materials ethically and sustainably. All wood I use for my crafts is gathered or collected from other's prunings, I don't harvest any living wood. I am always happy to make runes of different alphabets (eg Anglo Saxon); all I need is a link to the relevant alphabet and can list them on ebay for you. Likewise, I have rune sets of several different woods listed so please look at my other listings. All items are new and unused, I prefer not to charge magical items, leaving that for their new owners to do. All items are crafted with joy and love. |
