Super, signed 4x6 photo of Rudolf Muhlbauer. Muhlbauer was bridgemate on U-123, on numerous patrols, under Hardegan, & vonSchroeter. He was valued by all watch officers because of his alertness & vigilance. He earned the Iron Cross 1st class under Hardegan, & was recommended for the KC after U-123 returned from it's 2nd patrol off of the US East Coast. He also served on U-70, under Hauber. When the sub was attacked by 2 destroyers on 10/28/44, it was Muhlbauer who sounded the alarm in time.
