This is a custom made switched ELM. It contains an extended chipset based around Future Technology's FTDI VCP bridge. Cheaper versions have a vastly reduced chipset that causes instability and compatibility problems.

Our version is supplied with drivers for Windows 8.1, 8, 7, Vista and XP. Regular updates are available via Windows update free of charge. There will be drivers for Windows 10 when it's released. You can check for the latest drivers here:

Please make no mistake this is a high quality lead with quality components. The simple fact is that in order to increase profits Chinese manufacturers try and get away with the minimum amount of components. Our units are more expensive but are guaranteed to work on future versions of Windows and will reach speeds of 500K and beyond with no sweat!
