Even the new thick thin chain rings have been known to bounce off a chain. For security use a chain guide.

All mounts have bolts and shims to add compatibility & adjustment.

You could pay 3 times the price for a branded one of these, but that would be stupid. We get these straight from the original manufacturer so can offer a great price. 

V1 (75g): High Mount Seat Tube Guide with Lower retaining bar (individual Ebay item no: 400796181434)
Chainring ring range: 30 - 44t
This chain guide has a lower retainer bar to keep your chain from dropping behind chainring etc.  This is best for riders expecting super bouncy terrain.
These are simple to install. 
- It mounts to the seat tube (fits 34.9 and 31.8 tubes) (shims are included for a 31.8mm seat tube). 
- Simply separate the lower guide section with an allen key, feed your chain through the guide, rebolt guide.
- Adjust the height & angle accordingly to match the chain line - simple!

Simple adjustable 1 sided guide so you can run a bash guard (if you want), no lower bar so fits a broad range of chain ring sizes and oval chain rings
Good for thick /thin chainrings if you rarely drop the chain or if you run a bash guard on your chain set.

V5 Mt Zoom (26g): Braze on Chain Guide  (individual Ebay item no: 153234153492)
Highly adjustable, no lower bar so fits a broad range of chain ring sizes and oval chain rings, e.g 28t - 60t  (note, your braze can limit size). NEW Mt Zoom version with longer backplate for wide range of chain ring sizes.
Simple to install, made specifically for bikes with braze-on mounts.  Adjust with an allen key, laterally (10mm) & vertically (45mm). The guide head can also be adjusted/swivelled up & out of the way for easy access to your chain ring (to remove/clean etc.).  Comes with braze adaptor & fixing bolt.
