The Ogham

This is a spectacular set of handmade ogham staves. Each ogham stave is about 5 inches long and is made from the wood of the tree that it represents - so birch for birch, rowan on rowan etc.

Creating sets from corresponding woods helps the reader to connect more easily with the energies of each trees and thus makes the reading more accurate.

The staves were stripped of their bark and sanded smooth before being pyrographed (burnt) with the ogham symbol, making them much harder wearing than oghams that are just painted - some countries do not allow wood with bark across their borders - if you travel internationally, then this (or the shorter version also in my ebay store) is the set of you.

 The ogham is a celtic alphabet/divination system, based on 20 native British trees. It is used in much the same way as runes. The set will come in a handmade bag to store your staves in, and with an information sheet designed to get you started.

Greenwoman Crafts is a small Pagan craft business run by a practicing witch of many years' experience. I try to source my materials ethically and sustainably. Wood for most of the items comes from my family's fully-sustainable woodland, or from other people's prunings along with deadfall from my wanderings. I do not harvest wood for my work.

I make every attempt to recycle and reuse packaging and posting materials, although sometimes this is not possible.

All items are new and unused, I prefer not to charge magical items, leaving that for their new owners to do. All items are crafted with joy and love.

Standard postage within the UK is free! It does include tracking, although the Royal mail does not insure jewellery unless it is sent special delivery - so if you are worried or need your item in a hurry please select "Special Delivery". Postage Discounts on multiple orders shipped by Special delivery are avaliable.

International Shipping is as quoted but Standard Shipping does NOT include tracking. If you desire tracking please select "international signed for".
