"This little book into which is packed a description of the labor and love of half a century, is intended to primarily as a guide to Washington Cathedral and the verdant hill upon which it stands. In addition to the actual mapping of a tour, it has another purpose-to open the pilgrim's inner eye and ear, lifting him from his everyday concerns to that loftier vision which a great cathedral can inspire."
