Gel / Jelly Wax is great for scent throw and long burn time, used in containers, and you can add various (make sure they are safe) embellishments for example shells......it does however take longer to melt than say Soy Wax...........Please always refer to candle making instructions freely available on the web when making candles and melting waxes.

Gel / Jelly wax does have a higher melt point than Soy or Paraffin.

You CAN melt Gel/Jelly wax in a "direct pan" rather than a double boiler as it has a higher melt point.
