Nirvana: Live at Paramount
1991 live concert from the legendary rock band Nirvana. Nirvana shot to stardom in the early 1990s with the release of their seminal album 'Nevermind'. Hailing from a small town outside Seattle and led by the talented but fragile Kurt Cobain, the album was a surprise success and spawned numerous offshoots and a whole new movement known as 'grunge'. The band were never entirely comfortable with this label or their mainstream success in general and disbanded in 1994 after Cobain's suicide. This release captures them at their peak, playing a hometown show at Seattle's Paramount Theatre on the back of the 'Nevermind' tour.

Launching the 19 song set with a brilliant cover of the Vaselines "Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam," the band cranks out their soon-to-be iconic songs "Smells Like Teen Spirit," "Lithium" and "Breed," while delivering earlier fan favorites "School," "Love Buzz" and "About A Girl." The Paramount concert is the only show ever shot of the band on 16mm film and has been transferred to an incredibly detailed 1080p high definition picture. Mixed in 5.1 surround sound from the original multi-tracks.
